Kings remain good
Picked up a solid limit of kings this morning. Also caught halibut lingcod, and black bass. Two of the gentlemen are from Australia who traveled to Alaska to experience the fishing. One of the kings topped 25lbs.

Early morning run
Had the morning off. Ran down to my honey hole and had our limit of 3 kings in 20 minutes. Boom. Good times with good friends. Charter tomorrow.

Kings and Black Bass
Just over an hour for limits of kings. They were waiting for us in the same spot we caught them the previous two days. Several shaker kings too. Halibut was rough. Fished five different spots, no keepers. Lots of Pacific cod which got our hopes up. We got into halibut at one spot but a huge bull sea lion was on us robbing us of our halibut. Once they get under the boat it is over. Looking forward to better weather to anchor offshore. Picked up a limit of black bass too.

Kings/halibut/Black Bass
Kings started out good and we had our limit of two in under an hour. A little smaller than the previous day but still nice fish. Halibut fishing was slow. First spot only gave us Pacific cod. Second spot we got our limit of a 33 and 29 inch halibut. Took a good deal of time. Black bass fishing was very good and it was pretty much over before it started. Hopefully halibut fishing picks up. Will try different areas tomorrow. All kings are bled/gutted and packed with ice

Late May
Group of two arrived early yesterday so we did a half day due to some weather that might arrive on Saturday. Limited on nice sized kings, 1 small halibut and a rockfish. First full day coming up.

Kings
Craig Alaska is hot for kings. Took my visiting parents and my wife’s friend out king fishing. Lots of action. Stopped for a lingcod for fish and chips on the way in.

Charter
Day charter yesterday. Four guys up on a bear hunt. 4 kings, 3 Halibut, 4 lingcod, 15 black bass, and 4 rockfish. Windy which kept us from getting that last Halibut.

Kings and halibut
Wife’s friend is in town. Took her out at 4am and she caught a king and a halibut. Early bird gets the worm. Halibut weighed in at around 75 pounds. King was a 12lb feeder. Back home by 640am.
Review
Check out this review of my guide service on Alaska Outdoor Forum. Keep in mind that these are very early charters before our normal season kicks off. Kings will be here in good numbers any day now. I am one of he only charter operators brave enough to fish right now. Here 90% of the guides don’t show up for a few more weeks.
