Travel to Craig

Fly Alaska Airlines to Ketchikan from Seattle.  It is a 90-minute flight.   You will want to arrive in Ketchikan the day prior to your first fishing day, before 3pm.

You then have the option of flying Island Air Express from Ketchikan to the Klawock Airport.  Island Air Express is located right in the small Ketchikan Airport by the Alaska Airlines counter.  It will be about a 30 minute flight.  The other option is to take the Inter-Island Ferry.  It is cheaper, but more time consuming.  I will come pick you up in Hollis if you take the ferry.  Please read the details of the ferry here: http://interislandferry.com/

When you arrive at Klawock Airport or Hollis, either my wife or I will be waiting for you and will transport you to your lodging.  Please provide clear communication of your arrival times and keep us informed if you arrive early or are going to be late.  
Money Saving Tips
  • Book early and shop either the PFD sale (October) or the Black Friday Sale for Alaska Airlines flights to Ketchikan.
  • Get the Alaska Air Credit Card and use the Companion fare with your buddy. ($100 companion fare)  
  • Ferry over to Prince of Wales on the Inter Island Ferry and Fly back to Ketchikan on Island Air Express.
