Trollers on the Drag

Been busy out on the drag catching king salmon on the West Coast of Prince of Wales Island. Fishing out of Craig Alaska has been pretty good lately. The kings are showing up in good numbers off Granite Point and in Veta Bay. I have been fishing with a small fleeting of boats catching some pretty decent numbers of king salmon. I have been just using flashers and hoochies lately and seem to be doing fine. The fish are feeding heavily in 180-240ft of water on krill, squid, herring, and candlefish. In a power troll operation you can troll rather deep, and I have been trolling at 150ft deep. The kings have been coming at a variety of depths. When feeding on Krill, I catch them more near the surface. Some days they seem to be coming more towards the bottom end. Every day is a new day and you nee dto figure out exactly what they fish are doing. I love the challenge. Enjoy the pictures of some of my fellow trollers out on the water.
